Painted in 1842 oil on canvas this picture is breathtakingly beautiful what with the moonlight mildly filtering through the clouds, and the reflection of this light in the waters. British landscape and marine painter Turner was spellbound on seeing this picture and he utilized this theme in one of his art works.
