Amedo Modiglian SOLOMON
ISRAEL: HIS NAME SPELLED WISDOM
BORN: 973 B.C DIED: 933 B.C

For ages, King Solomon’s name fhas been regarded as synonymous with wisdom. Hundreds of stories circulate all over the world regarding his sense of justice. It was said that if King Solomon could not find a solution to a problem, it could never be solved. You must have read the story regarding two women claiming to be mothers of the same child, who approached Solomon for justice. Solomon thought over the problem and asked the child to be cut into two and given to the two women. The real mother at once withdrew her claim and asked the King to give the child to the other woman. Solomon immediately ruled that she was the real mother as no mother would allow her child to be cut into two. He gave the child to that woman.

Solomon ruled very wisely. He had no peer as far as good governance was concerned. He built a huge temple in Jerusalem and passed laws to eradicate poverty. He knew many languages and could covert any enemy into a friend. He encouraged trade and made his kingdom prosperous. His reign is described as golder age of Jewish history. He nominated his son David as his successor. Thought his other sons revolted against this decision. He entered into matrimonial relations with neighboring kingdoms to have friendly ties with them.

Much research is being done on Solomon. It is said that he had hidden treasure worth billions at some secret place. This treasure is supposed to be accursed and many people have lost their lives in trying to find it out.
