A Young Man.

Antonello has depicted here a young man who looks a European stock. He has a long hair well plaited and the dark blue background enhances the facial view of the man. He wears a close collared coat. Human character painting, more so portraits were the forte of several Renaissance artists.

This 1478 work with oil on wood is preserved at Gemaeldegalerie, in Berlin.
