Crucifixion.

The crucifixion of Jesus atop a mountain along with two of his friends is the main theme. Though in many pictures we got to see the same scene, only Jesus has been shown on a cross by Antonello whereas the other two men have met with their end on a crude wooden branch of a half chopped tree. The time on the picture could be late afternoon as seen by the golden yellow scene of the township in the background. This aspect has been highlighted by Antonello using again lighter shades.

This 1475 picture is at Royal Museum of Fine Arts at Antwerp in Belgium.
