Antonello’s painting here throws light on the nice arched courtyard with some armed soldiers standing guard and a few old men talking in the background. Probably this palace or all was where Sebastian was nailed and tortured. Lighter colour shades have been used to illuminate the whole scene and is suggestive of daytime. This 1476 wood panel work of Antonello can be found at Altemeister Gallerie in Dresden in Germany.
