| Faravaggio -At one time Confucius’s teachings held such
a sway in China that it attained the status of a religion. In manhood, he
entered the Chinese civil service and for many years followed a worthwhile
career. But as he grew older he began to improve the quality of life among
his fellow men. At the age of 60 her retired from govt service and set up
school of pupils where he sought to instruct in his ideas in order to send
them out into Chinese country side to pass on his teachings. His thoughts
became the official religion of China. Even now, many people follow his
teachings and have great respect for their ancestors and lay stress on good
moral character. With the passage of time and change of circumstances, his
teachings retain their eternal values. Confucius believed that morality
should rule the state and society. He suggested many ways to avoid class
conflict. He laid stress on the rule, “Do not treat others in a manner
that you would not like others to treat you”.
