Born on December 4, 1963, Sergei Bubka’s present record is 6.12 metres. He has been giving incredible performances in pole-vault in international contests. He has continuously improved his performance and jumped onto greater heights. You must be remembering that America boycotted the Moscow Olympics in 1980 thereby initiating political interference in sports. Many talented athletes consequently were deprived of the opportunities to display their talent. Bubka is one among such athletes. But, when he was privileged, he created new records since 1984.
