Three days later, they reached Cairo. Major Patrick and Major Moss bid farewell to General Kreipe.

Both the Majors were awarded. General Kreipe was taken to the prison camp in London. After the war, Kreipe was released. He became a salesman in Germany and thanked his fate and the two Majors for kidnapping him. Otherwise, he would have also been labeled as a war criminal and would have been executed along with the other fellow generals.
