Even before Sir Francis had finished celebrating his birthday, the Gypsy Moth ran into a storm. It was after two hours of grueling labour that Sir Francis was able to bring her under control. Perhaps he took so long because he was a bit drunk and also irritated as he had to stop the birthday celebration midway.
