For 11 days, Sun Wan had rotted in the prison without any ray of hope. But, now Sun Wan was getting impatient to come out of the prison. He tried to befriend the watchman and sweepers, but in vain.

Next day, First Ambassador, Teng tried to cajole Sun to accept his crime. Sun was too adamant. Exhausted Teng then threatened Sun that he would be deported to China, where death only awaits his arrival. Even the word ‘death’ did not frighten Sun. Instead the challenged Teng that if he were sent to China, his English friends would force the King to free him and that there will be an upheaval everywhere.
