The Cardinal Infante Don Fernando

When for seven months there was no news from Captain Scott, other adventurers went up to find them. They reached this tent and, to their amazement, found three dead bodies buried under the ice. From Captain Scott’s coat they found a diary, in which travails of the expedition were written.

The discovery of the South Pole was much more painful than that of the North Pole. In fact, Captain Scott was not the first person to take such an expedition. Before Captain Scott, Amundson had reached there on 16th September, 1911 and Captain Scoot had reached there on 17th January, 1912.
