Philip IV in Armour

The Victoria Cross was instituted in 1856, when Queen Victoria ruled over England and Britain was considered to be the most powerful nation of the world. While considering a person for this award, his or her designation was never considered. This medal was not just awarded to the admirals, but to the soldiers also. When Corn Valle was just 16, he was honoured with the Victoria cross for taking part in the Jutland War. The only consideration to award this copper medal had been the most outstanding feat of bravery or the most pre-eminent act of valour displayed in unfavorable conditions.
