A grand view of the castle, a waterfront with boats sailing quietly, looks like the Westminster in London though the setting is Russia. The water scene is beautifully done and the castle looks great. Looks like Alekseev has specialized in buildings juxtaposed with water bodies.This watercolor on paper work done in 1800 measuring 39.4”X31.5” is on display at The Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow.
