Annunciation. The Visitation.

Fra Angelico has portrayed here a visit to a house. The visitor as well as the visited are both godly persons signified by the halo around their heads. They are wearing flowing gowns and dark socks, so their feet cannot be seen.The lady who ushered in the guest is seen at the left foreground while at a distance there is a settlement where a few houses are clustered together. Angelico has made use of the linear perspective here once again in this religious painting of 1434 with Tempera on panel measuring 175x180 cm and this picture is preserved at Museo Diocesano in Cortona, Italy.
