Fiesole Triptych

The mother is carrying the baby and is watched over by four
people. Probably it’s a Baptism ceremony. The priest holding the holy
book and thw writer waiting with his quill pen have been rendered real
by Angelico. Around the mother are eight angels to bless the baby. The
mother, baby, and the four others all have halos around their heads
suggesting they are all godly people. This Tempera on Panel displayed
at San Domenico, Fiesole, Italy, was done between the years 1424 and
1430, and its dimensions are 212x217 cm.
