Linaiuoli Tabernacle: Adoration of the Magi

This Fra Angelico work is an elaborately done painting . jesus as a child is on his mother’s lap and a man is crouching before the mother and child. A second man is waiting behind him for his turn. What is noteworthy is that no one is wearing any footwear. The man in the background in the middle is barefooted. Visitors have come in horse drawn carts. The various movements like bending, gesticulating, talking, exclaiming with hands, are highlighted in this picture.

This 1433 Tempera on panel is preserved at Museo di San Marco at Florence in Italy and its size is 39x56 cm.
