|In 1933, Sorgi became a member of the Nazi Party. How he got
the membership, is still a mystery. But, after becoming a Nazi, Sorgi traveled
to America, Canada, and then to Japan. In Japan, he stayed in Tokyo and
became a journalist. But, journalism was just a cloak for Sorgi. His mission
was to enter the German embassy in Tokyo. In the beginning, he was unsuccessful.
But, luck was in Sorgi’s favour. At that time, the new German ambassador
arrived in Tokyo. This new envoy did not understand the Asian politics.
He needed an adviser. Sorgi immediately applied for the post and got it.
Thus, Sorgi’s efforts proved fruitful.
