On 23rd August, 1945, the bad news of Netaji’s death was broadcast from the Tokyo Radio. With his death, the dreams of the Azad Hind Fauj also crumbled.

Netaji died but his spirit lived on. He had lit the kindly of freedom among the soldiers’ hearts. They were now eager to fight for the cause of their motherland. Many soldiers resigned from the British services. They joined the Freedom Movement.
