The soldiers gave him a loud applause.
But, the final scene was still left to be enacted. And, this time, Shatouni played, his favourite trick. He clutched his hearty, bent down, and, in a feeble voice, asked for a glass of water. Thinking that he had fallen sick, the soldiers hurriedly brought him a glass of water. Shatouni took a few sips from the glass and said, “It is nothing, nothing at all”. But, by now, the soldiers were too much worried about his welfare. They helped him to get inside the car. This time Shatouni sat down, resting his head on the cushion. In a few moments, his car sped away.
For some time, the soldiers remained engulfed in the aura of Shatouni. And when finally they recovered their emotional balance, they found empty railway tracks welcoming them.

Thus, Vahan Shatouni, the magnificent actor, gambled with his own life, but saved the murder of 65 officers just by his superb performance.
