Christ Crowned with Thorns		Christ Carrying the Cross

Gradually, the story of the remarkable power of the crevice spread in the region. The people of the area started flocking to this crevice to take advice regarding their problems and difficulties. They also took advice regarding future events. Some curious people who went inside the crevice never returned. To prevent such accidents, a woman was deputed there. She also undertook the task of predicting the future of people who wished to know about it. A temple was erected on the site and a wooden platform was provided to that woman so that she was protected from the vagaries of the weather and had a place to sit on and do her work. Steam came out of the crevice as the woman (priestess) made predictions. She was completely enveloped by the steam coming out of the crevice. The platform on which the priestess sat was supported by three pillars.
