The temples of Akhetaton, Philae, Thebes and Adfu were renowned in ancient Egypt. These temples were situated on the banks of river Nile. From 600 B.C. these temples were not only centers of worship, but the priests of these temples also made prophesies regarding future events. Curious people thronged them to know about their future and destiny.

The authentic and authoritative researches have proved that there were temples of Karnak and Luxor on the banks of Nile near the city of Thebes. Apart from making prophesies, these temples also catered to the needs of the sick people, where they were treated for their ailments. It is recorded that some officers were sent to administer these temples in or around 2800 B.C. by Pharaoh Joser. A fight ensued between them for some unknown reasons.
