Painting for Young People |
Fya Kong had only one son. When his son Farn was born, the astrologers advised the King to either kill the new born prince or exile him. They thought that the lines of his hand indicated that he would one day kill his father.
Fya Kong immediately exiled Prince Farn. After a long time, they came
face to face with each other. As luck would have it, they were pitted
against each other in a duel. Farn killed his father. Later when he learnt
that he had committed the sin of patricide, he was struck with remorse.
He then built a memorial to his father in the shape of a large temple.
It still exists there.
