Florinville immediately made enquiries from his wife and cook in this
respect. They told him that it was the meat of the black pig. The reason
being that when the meat of white pig was cut and placed on a table, the
dogs had rendered it unsuitable for the guests by eating some portion
out of it. Hence, the black pig had to be killed and cooked.
