Verily, he had the prophetic vision to see the future. He was not born with this gift. Michel de Nostradamus was born in a Jewish family on December 14, 1503 in the afternoon. His maternal grandfather, Jean de Saint Remy, was renowned physician and astrologer. He instructed Michel about herbs of different kinds and asked him to develop interest entire trend of his education was changed. His father got him admitted to Montpellier University to study medicine. Soon, Nostradamus was busy in fighting the epidemic of plague that smote the country. He earned a good name as a successful doctor. A little after, he got married in 1533. Soon, plague again broke out and his wife and child died. These shocking deaths nearly broke his heart. For eight long years, Nostradamus wandered through France, Italy and Sicily.
