During the French Revolution, Emperor Louis, his Empress and Madame Dubarry were publicly guillotined by the people of France. Their heads were then jubitantly thrown into air. This happened in 1774, May be, Madame Dubarry saw this ghastly scene in the mirror on that fateful day.

The real name of Cagliostro was Guiseppe Balsamo. He was born on June 8, 1743 at Pelermo near Sicily. He was born in a poor Jewish family. Being unable to bring up his son, his father abandoned him on the roads to fend for himself, Guiseppe was brought up by a priest in a church. The priest educated him and at the same time taught him to prepare medicines from herbs. Guiseppe was a person given to mischief. And as such he was asked to leave the church. He took refuge with a maternal uncle. There he specialized in drawing, but due to his nasty nature, he used this art also in nefarious activities.
