Cagliostro started treating patients in Strasbourg. He built up some reputation in this line as well.

He had predicted the death of the Empress of Hungary and Bohemia in 1780, which proved to be true. “Maria Theresa will live up to the age of 63.” He had predicted in a meeting with his critics.

He generally went astray after achieving some success. From 1745, he started invoking spirits and started displaying his occult powers. It is recorded that on one occasion he called thirteen spirits at the same time.
