In 1810, Joanna started constructing special worship centers fro her followers who called themselves Southcottians. Some17 such centers are not only existing at the present time but are active in spreading her cult.

Joanna made a startling prediction at the age of 64. She declared that she would give birth to a new messiah in the coming year. The new messiah, Shiloh, would show the world a new path. In her third book, Third Book of Wonders, she had written at length bout this new prophet.
