Some 46 of her prophesies turned out to be correct in 1793. Her fame traveled far, up to such distant places as Japan and Russia. People started taking her predictions seriously. In 1801, she published her book of prophesies under the title ‘The strange Effects of Faith’. The book was a roaring success. But, it had one bad effect. Joanna was carried away by her popularity and success. She proclaimed establishment of her own cult or group. Many people came under her influence and became her devotees.
