Altman, Nathan Painting -Still Life. Colored Bottles and Planes
Nathan Altman displays his artistic talent in still life portrayal in
this picture done by him in 1918 in oil and plaster on canvas. The
glass blowing industry was well established in Europe at this time.
Hence the painter has conveyed his idea of glass bottles containing
perhaps some alcoholic beverage and a diluent. The planes depict
mirror finished glasses in which the reflections appear so clearly.
This art work of Nathan measuring 59.5x43.5 cm is kept for view at The
Russian Museum at St. Petersburg.
