On May 5, 1988, FBI officers raided her San Francisco apartment on instructions from higher authorities. Quigley was not in the house. She had left for France. As per calculations, an earthquake was to hit San Francisco at that time and devastate it. She was happy when it did not happen. Little did she realise that an earthquake had really hit it ----- a political earthquake. Though San Francisco escaped devastation, Reagan’s political future was in shambles. This was known when the election results came in.
