He inspired his pupil in antiseptic surgery. Pasteur later researched disease especially rabies for which his development of a vaccine led to the foundation of the Pasteur Institute in Paris in 1888.

Louis Pasteur was born in France in 1822. Since his very childhood, he was full of patriotic thoughts. By nature, Louis was shy but he had a special liking for nature, drawing and science. Before establishing himself as a reputed scientist, Louis had also made his contribution in the French Revolution of 1789. He was also a member of the French Academy. For the French people he was an angel who lessened the suffering and miseries of mankind by his scientific discoveries. This great scientist left for his heavenly abode in 1895, at the age of 73.
