Later, Patel made his Bardoli Satyagraha successful, which was a landmark in the history of our freedom movement. In March, 1931, Patel became the President of the Congress session which was held in Karachi, and helped in the approval of Gandhi-Irwin Pact. Later, on January 4, 1932 both Gandhi and Patel wee lodged together in Yewrvada jai. After independence, Patel brought about the integration of the 562 Princely States and redrew the map of India with remarkable speed.

A possible war between India& Pakistan was averted in 1950 due to Patel’s intervention.
