The Four Philosophers Painting by Peter Paul Rubens

Vidiadhur Surajprasad Naipaul, the writer of Indian descent, was born in 1932, near Port of Spain in Trinidad. He went to England at the age of 18 to study at Oxford University, and has lived in England since then, devoting himself to writing. V.S. Naipaul has spent much of his life travellingaround the world seeking answers and inspiration. Much of his writing examines the traumas of post colonial change, which he explores with a moralist’s outrage.
