Queen Victoria is the longest reigning monarch of Britain and her reign represents one of the most eventful periods in British history. She succeeded to the British throne on the death of her uncle William IV in 1837. At that time, she was an attractive and intelligent 18 year old girl. When she died in 1901, she had reigned for 63 years which is the longest reign among all the British monarchs. Victorian era in England witnessed many important reforms in political, social and economic field.
