This work of Sir Lawrence again focuses on the enjoyment indulged in by the ladies of the higher social hierarchy in those times. They literally kill time with nothing else to do. Modern day resort managers will certainly take a leaf out of these historical scenes.

Looks like a princess and two other girls standing at a balcony facing a waterfront. An object like a fish seems to toss itself outside the water. The two attendants are keenly looking at the water. Ladies and water bodies are always seen in the paintings of Sir Lawrence. This 1895 painting ,oil on panel is in a private collection.
