The Roman potter is beginning to climb a flight of stairs carrying some of the materials he uses in his work. He is bare bodied and has a footwear made of some leather wires knitted together.The potter’s face reveals some purpose and the details of the room and stairs are clearly shown. Tis Oil on Canvas was done in 1884 by Sir Lawrence and it is on display at Musee d’ Orsay, Paris, France.
