Lewis Carroll is one of the greatest names in children’s literature
in English. Alice in Wonderland (1865) is his most precious gift to the
children all over the world. It takes children into a strange world which
is quite amusing and entertaining for them. Carroll wrote one more book
What Alice Found There based on Alice, which together with its illustrations
became highly popular. His third book on Alice Alice Through the Looking-Glass
(1871) also became very popular with children as well as the grown ups.
All these books show that Lewis Carroll was gifted with a wonderful and
rich imagination. Though Lewis Carroll wrote many other stories for children,
yet, none became as popular as Alice in Wonderland.
