Aristotle
Greece: Famous philosopher
Born: 384 BC Died: 322 BC

Aristotle is one of the three greatest philosophers of ancient Greece. The other two are Aristotle’s teacher Plato. And Plato’s teacher Socrates. Aristotle was a profound scholar and the range of his studies was extraordinarily wide; he studied and made original contributions in zoology, botany, physics, metaphysics, political science, economics, psychology, ethics, poetics and many more other disciplines. He, in fact, years, Aristotle was also a tutor to young Alexander, the son of King Philip of Macedonia.

Aristotle was born in 384 B.C. in Stagira in Greece. His father was a physician at the court of Philip II of Macedonia. He took inspiration from his father to make biological studies and by 335 B.C. he started writing and commenting on biology. In 367 B.C when he was about 17, he joined Plato’s Academy in Athens as a student of Philosophy and remained there studying and assisting Plato in his researches upto 347 B.C. Aristotle was invited by King Philip of Macedonia to be become tutor to his son Alexander
