Lenin was under deep influence of Marx and Engels and read their work with deep interest. The Tsarist regime started persecuting Lenin and exiled him to different places. But even while in exile, Lenin continued to guide the revolutionary struggle of the Russian people against the oppressive regime of the Tsar. In 1898, Lenin created a new party, ‘Bolshevik Party’, for bringing about a Communist revolution in Russia. In “What is to be done” (1902), he advocated a professional core of party activity to the revolution in Russia
